One main requirement for keeping your rabbit are good large rabbit hutches. Keeping your rabbit outside with a run and a hutch for it to spend wet or cold days and of course nights in means that your rabbit is able to live its life in comfortable quarters near to those it would have in nature.

A rubbit hutch should be as large as you can make it. The hutch should include an open area where you can see and interact with your pet. This can be via glass or wire netting on one side. It should also have an area which is enclosed on all sides so that it can sleep in privacy. Your rabbit, just like most other animals, should be able to get privacy when it wants.

Rabbit hutches and runs are to be found in most pet stores both online and offline.
You must ensure that the run is secure from digging, both by your rabbit, and from predators. It is up to you to make sure that your pet is kept contained, and not allowed to roam into neighbouring properties.

Traditionally, a large rabbit cage is usually made of wood with water-proofing on the roof. It needs to be large enough to give your rabbit room to move around and don’t forget that you will need access for cleaning. As well as food and water, you will also need to provide bedding material of staw or hay. You can provide the water by fixing a water bottle to the side of the rabbit hutch much the way you would for a hamster or mice. Food is provided in bowls.

Rabbits are a really good first introduction to keeping pets. They make very good pets since they are generally happy to be held and stroked and are very loving animals. As stated above, all they really need is a good rabbit hutch which is fox proof and easy to maintain.
